Laura Paulisich works as a teacher, writer, and coach sharing her inspiring and informative self-discoveries. After changing her eating, sleeping, living and thinking habits, she has experienced soaring joy and happiness. Her passions and personal habits include ketogenic/ancestral diets, intermittent fasting, finding wildcrafted/real foods, restorative sleep, having chemical-free clothing/bedding/home-life, "10-item wardrobe," minimalism, elite athletic performance, Camino hiking in flip-flops, "hardwiring happiness"/creating new neural pathways and finding one's personal purpose.
Her work experience includes LPGA caddying, PSIA certified ski instructing, high school and university teaching, national and local speaking, golf/small business/writing/life coaching, writing, and book designing.
Awards and achievements include the Evans Scholarship, University of Minnesota Gopher Women's Golf Team, Breckenridge Ski School Instructor, Freeman Foundation Study Tour to Japan and Korea, J-80 Racing School, Hamline University Book Arts Certificate, Hamline University Literacy Institute Annual Presenter, National Council of Teachers of English Speaker and Minnesota Council of Teachers of English Speaker.
Self-taught activities and accomplishments include traditional cooking, wardrobe knitter and crocheter and 3 holes-in-one.
Education includes earning a BA in English from the University of Minnesota, an MA in Teaching from the University of Wisconsin and completing Martha Beck Life Coach Training.
She lives her happy life in Hudson, Wisconsin USA with her dogs Aphrodite and Rumi.
Aphrodite, an adult boxer, loves to run, jump, play, wiggle and box! Her favorite things are bones and golf balls.
Rumi, a Teddy Bear puppy, loves eating, showing affection, walking and sleeping. His favorite things are bones and Aphrodite.
Hudson, Wisconsin USA is located on the Wisconsin and Minnesota border along the St Croix National Scenic Riverway.
In the summer when not teaching, Laura writes at home outside on the porch (at a standing desk) with all the dogs.
